From September 2024, Molenbeek will officially enter the competition to become European Cultural Capital 2030. Representing the entire city of Brussels (already chosen in 2000), the municipality is launching its bid with a brand new festival, Molenfest, to be held throughout Molenbeek from 12 to 24 September. As part of the event, Radio OhKaai teamed up with Citizen Motion to offer a radio training course to a number of young Brussels residents. These neo-reporters criss-crossed the commune (and beyond!) to find out what people thought about this still little-known bid, which seems to be catching the public's imagination.
